About us
Softcotton works together with a Dutch family business that has been around for almost 75 years. In the 1950s, the founders started selling textiles door-to-door. Then in the 1970s the markets were added and soon after that they grew into an international wholesaler. They do this from Borne, the beating heart of Twente. Twente has a rich textile history and you can say that this history is closely intertwined in their DNA and therefore now in our products.
With the DayDream, Papillon, BLCKOUT and Kidzroom brands, they have their own signature and a huge choice of different designs. Whether you opt for the latest trend, timeless, or everything in between, you will find it at Softcotton. Whichever style you choose, our products are always of excellent quality.
Sustainability and Softcotton
Sustainable entrepreneurship is an important part of our company.
That is precisely why we have teamed up with our supplier. The roof of their building in Borne is fitted with solar panels and they set strict requirements for the production process of their manufacturers.
All articles are provided with an Oekotex Standard 100 certification and all our suppliers are affiliated with BSCI.
They are also partners in BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) with which we ensure that a quarter of all cotton worldwide already passes through the chain in a responsible and traceable manner. Finally, the entire collection of our BLCKOUT brand is provided with the GOTS quality mark.
Sustainability and you
You too can contribute in the field of sustainability by always thinking carefully before ordering something. The percentage of returns from Sleepsupply.nl is less than 3%. Compared to the average figures in our sector, this is more than 9% lower, but we still think it is 3% too much.
