Washing tips
Nothing is better than a wonderfully fresh and clean bed! We advise you to always wash new purchases before using them. During the production process and transport, odors can get into the textile. In addition, new bedding hardly absorbs any moisture. Below we give you some tips for washing your bedding.
Use liquid detergent
Washing powder can cause white stains and that is why we recommend a liquid detergent. Pay attention to the dosage, because too much liquid detergent can also cause stains.
Follow the washing instructions on the packaging and/or the washing label
Bedding can be made of different materials, so always follow the washing instructions on the packaging and/or on the washing label.
Don't overfill your washing machine
Bedding takes up a lot of space in your washing machine. It is important that everything can rotate freely in the drum. This way they wrinkle less and you can be sure that everything will be cleaned properly.
Wash your bedding inside out
Duvet covers and pillowcases have beautiful colors and prints. By washing the bedding inside out and with similar colors, you prevent colors from fading or running.
Do not use fabric softener
This reduces the moisture-absorbing capacity. If you are washing your bedding for the first time, a dash of vinegar is perfect to wash away any last paint residue.
Choose the right washing program
Especially when you wash your bedding for the first time, it is good to choose a program that also includes rinsing. This way you can be sure that all paint residues will disappear from your new bedding. Don't let it soak, because then you can get color gradient.
Wash your bedding once a week
We know, it seems like a lot, but remember that you sleep an average of eight hours a night. Every night you lose moisture and dead skin cells and you don't want to have sleepless nights.
